Tunesian dancer accompanied by a t'bel, the big drum, and a zurna, a high pitched oboe. The dancer uses a rolled scarf as prop in her dance. Etienne (born in 1832) and Antonin (born in 1846) were the sons of photographer Jean CÚsar Adolphe Neurdein, known as Charlet, born in 1806. Between 1880-1900 they took lots of photos in Algeria and Tunesia which became famous under the name of ND phot.
